After wrapping up the National series, we headed to Albury for the KZ races at the AKC summer series. Our goal was simple: just have a good time, no pressure. Surprisingly, we topped the charts in all practice sessions and even snagged pole position (finally!). Even with a penalty for a jump start, I led the pack in all races. The only hiccup was a mishap on Sunday when I wrote off the chassis. Apart from that, the weekend was nearly perfect.
What I’ve learned from this experience is to believe in myself. It’s shown me that I can not only compete well in KZ but also hold my own in the AKC races.
